Loyalty and Reliability: It’s Value…  Quality Over Quantity

What quality do you value most in a friend?

Loyalty and reliability… those are the two qualities I value most in a friend. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that friendships become less and less necessary, but when I do see real potential in someone, I go all in completely. I give everything I have to that connection. But if you break those core things, if you’re dishonest, disloyal, or constantly canceling on me… I’ll just stop spending my time with you. I forgive easily because I love everybody equally, but I never forget those moments. They show me who someone really is, and I remember that.
🤔 … The truth is, life is so much easier by myself. Solitude has become my preference because it’s simpler, more peaceful. I’ve learned that it’s better to be a friend to myself than to keep investing in others who don’t match my energy or values. I’m not bitter about it… I still care about people and wish them well… but I’ve accepted that meaningful, reliable friendships are rare. So I’d rather enjoy my own company and protect my peace than settle for relationships that don’t meet the standard I know I deserve.

  1. I must say that I appreciate the friends that I have.

But I’m not averse to quietly siding away from those who annoy me. You know the kind? The big ‘I am’ who want to be the centre of attention, who suck the life blood out of you, and who you ignore when they call – because they usually want something?

It’s not a bad thing to do that…
