Who is your favorite historical figure?

Β Β There’s so many that I cannot choose just one. Biblical figures like Moses and David – split the Red Sea and led the Israelites out of Egypt, slayed a giant with just one rock! I’m fond of Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare – so many authors of great literature. So many political heroes too – George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Reagan. So many religious leaders and saints from around the planet.
Β Β Β Β Β It’s just to tough to choose just one.
Β Β This goes back to the Lay’s commercial – “I can’t just have one.” I have to have the whole bag. I can’t just have one beer, I have to have the six pack. I can’t just have one favorite movie, band, book, song… And the list goes on and on
Β Β Β I’m passionate about everything and find inspiration everywhere, asking me to pick one favorite historical figure is like asking me to pick a favorite screwdriver (Obviously the drink, could be the tool, lol).
Β Β Moses parting the Red Sea is incredible, but so is Mark Twain’s wit.
Β Β David taking down Goliath with a slingshot is amazing, but so is Poe’s dark genius.
Β Β Washington crossing the Delaware…
Β Β Lincoln preserving the Union…
Β Β Shakespeare inventing half the words we use today… how does one rank that stuff???
Β Β Maybe that’s the real answer…
Β Β Β Β I don’t have one favorite because I’m fascinated by the whole of the human story. Every era has people who did impossible things, wrote brilliant words, or changed the world in ways that still matter. Choosing just one feels like I’d be ignoring all the others who deserve recognition.
So yeah, I’m taking the whole bag approach to historical figures too.
