After years of silence, Buzzard Dust Mixtapes is back.

If you remember the original Buzzard Dust Colored albums, you’ll immediately notice something has changed.

This isn’t rap. 🔥

This is a complete reimagining of the project…

What began years ago as short, ten minute experimental releases has returned as something much larger—an Appalachian-inspired blend of folk, bluegrass, gospel, Americana, spoken word, comedy, and the fictional broadcasts of WDAR 99.6 Dead Air Radio.

The new Buzzard Dust: Copper is the first chapter in that return.

This release also marks the beginning of a new collection. Throughout 2026, Buzzard Dust Mixtapes will release a series of albums named after electrically conductive metals—Aluminum, Copper, Iron, Bronze, Nickel, Titanium, and Silver—along with a special companion release, Carbon Fiber.

It’s a little ironic… album titles that are named after heavy metals, filled instead with front-porch songs, mountain stories, old-time radio, and Appalachian humor.

Every song, skit, advertisement, station identification, and spoken-word segment on Buzzard Dust Copper was written by me. Some pieces date back as far as 1999, while others were completed in 2026. This album brings together more than 25 years of ideas, notebooks, lyrics, and storytelling into one continuous listening experience.
